A new Website for Fundraising For Education

Fundraising for Education Website

One of the last projects Team Yeah Can worked on before leaving Vietnam to settle in Spain in November 2011 was the web design for the Fundraising for Education.site This is an initiative by Phoenix Education‘s Foundation which started its first Phoenix School in August 2011 based in Hue, Vietnam.

The site was designed and the copy written by Yeah Can. Added to this was an email campaign for the Christmas season. Although the site is a serious fund raising site, it was decided to tackle this important topic in a fun and light hearted way. The Team felt it was important to stay away from the kind of poverty images that have given fund raising a bad name. We should surely not have to have images of tearful, starving children to persuade people to support the school? So let’s see how that works for us.

So far the feed-back for the site has been encouraging and the comments on the design have been really good. There will be a more serious site going up which will be focused on the corporate fund raising side. That would be targeted at major donors and grant providers.

Great to be able to provide web design to a good cause. It’s Team Yeah Can’s second cause and will be the main one the team will support in 2012.

Update and redesign the website for the Foundation as the previous one had been neglected and looked like a print brochure. The photographs of the various projects the Foundation is involved in were used to showcase the great work this Foundation does in Hue, central Vietnam.

Ritz Celebration Website Design Image

Ritz Celebration – Banquet Hall. Web site design.

This banquet hall is renowned for its decoration especially for its customized chandeliers. It was decided to use the chandelier as the idea behind the logo. For the website the beautiful photographs provided by client were used as full screen background to the home page to create a full view of the venue, the food artistry by its experts and the attention to detail by the event management.

Logo design for young volunteers

Business Card for Kim a Volunteer

At what stage should you start branding yourself? Is 22 years of age too early to worry about logo design, business cards and a general branding exercise? It really depends on the individual of course. In general though the earlier a young person considers the image they present to the world the better it is.

Too many young people start their professional life not caring about the image they develop. In the age of the internet where everything spreads, is remembered for ever and most definitely public it’s surely not a bad idea to be careful from an early age on.

Young people make the mistake of thinking that it’s fun to have a sexy name as a label when picking a Twitter name or email address. What they don’t think through carefully enough is the fact that the internet doesn’t really forget.

That label, online identity stays around a really long time. In fact there are now specialist lawyers whose work consists of managing online reputations. That is they scour the internet to find and where possible destroy items that could harm their clients.

Wouldn’t it be just so much easier to brand oneself cautiously from an early age so that these kinds of costs don’t occur at a later stage.

Her are two young people, in their early twenties, who have decided that a good clean branding exercise is not too early. Check out their ‘brand’ here. Aren’t their business cards great?

Web design for a fund raising page for Hope Center

Custom Website for HopeCenterHue.com

If nothing else, the work that Yeah Can delivers on is varied. Web design seems to be the big thing in Vietnam. The country is totally connected to the world wide web but not many businesses have a website as yet.

Hope Center is therefor lucky and very happy that they have a great web presence thanks to Yeah Can’s team. What was required more recently was a landing page for a fund raising campaign.

The Hope Center’s new shop needs funding. It’s a small amount and it was felt that an appeal to folk out there might work the best. This could be an opportunity for people to actually get involved directly in a project. They would have the means to make a real difference to real people.

So many people donate to good causes via massive organisations where a fair percentage of the money raised is required to pay the CEO of the non-profit a fairly large salary. So where does your $5 go when you donate?

Do you really want to pay somebody’s salary or would you be happy to give your donation direct to the recipients? Well here is your opportunity because not one bit of your donation for this campaign will pay for anybody sitting in a plush office in a developed world city. The disabled and disadvantaged people at Hope Center will benefit with every Dollar given.

Visit the landing page here. While you are there, please consider giving a small donation for this worthwhile cause and don’t forget to download the free eBook with fantastic images of Vietnam as a thank you for caring.

Your donation will be so appreciated.
